Document Indexing & Data Entry
Easy access to important information is critical to all organizations. The inability to quickly locate valuable data, reports, letters, or records costs both time and money. Document indexing and data entry are two types of services we provide:
- Indexing is the process of naming digital images, in a searchable format, to enable organizations to locate these documents quickly.
- Data entry is simply that – entering data into a database. The data can come from a variety of sources - from forms, reports, etc.
Document indexing and/or data entry are necessary functions on many digitization projects. USArchive has an experienced staff and powerful software to complete either job accurately. Our team is very capable of converting from a wide variety of formats – whether it’s typed, scanned or a handwritten original. Most recently we completed a large (55,000,000 keystrokes) complex project for a government agency involving handwritten and typed data.
We can input information from a variety of sources – viewed in-house or online. Our indexing and data entry is completed locally, but we also have access to off-shore indexing, if desired. Additionally, we have a network of partner companies who can provide additional support for large indexing and data entry jobs.
For particularly critical information and data, we can provide “double key verification”. With this process, the data is entered twice, each time by different team members. The two files are compared for accuracy and corrections are made where the keyed information differs.
