Highlights

Scan all Child Support case files for Health & Welfare. Identify 30 records types and record ten data points on each record. Note, we found that there were in fact over 300 records types and very select requirements for each record.

Solution

We worked with the state and paired the records down to 30 types and ten data points each. In three days we tested over 100 job applicants, hired 50 people for three shifts 6 days a week, for six months of processing. 3600 boxes of records were scanned with 41 mm characters of data being entered. We flew to Boise with an encrypted hard drive of scanned data every two weeks, rented a truck, loaded it with 300 more boxes and drove it to Seattle for production scanning and indexing.
