BELLEVUE – AtWork! and USArchive signed an agreement Thursday, September 9, to create a unique for-profit/nonprofit partnership, USArchive, Powered By AtWork!, which will provide document management services to government and private firms who need digitized records and document destruction.
“In signing the agreement,” Chris Brandt, AtWork! CEO, said, “We have agreed to work together with USArchive to create jobs for people with disabilities. Mick and Noreen Plath bring their sales expertise to the business, and AtWork! brings its management and operations expertise plus a talented workforce.”
Mick Plath, President of USArchive, said his company is very excited for the future of this new venture. “We saw the need and value of hiring people with disabilities while training them in today’s more technical imaging services.“
Bob Strayhan, AtWork! Board of Directors Chair, said, “Today marks a significant new chapter for AtWork! to provide increased opportunities for people with disabilities to gain important skills and jobs in the digital marketplace.”
USArchive is a full-service document management company, with extensive experience serving government, nonprofit, educational and corporate clients nationwide. This veteran-owned business, headquartered in Redmond, began in 2003 as a “traditional” document management company – storing clients’ physical records and converting microfilm and paper documents into electronic images. The business has added a wide variety of services, including traditional document management, consulting and integration, industry teaching and training (through Imagine University), and sales of document management software and hardware.
AtWork! is a 501(c)3 organization, located in Bellevue and Issaquah, serving clients throughout King County. It is dedicated to creating meaningful skill-building opportunities for people with disabilities. Working closely with employers in the community, AtWork! designs customized employment solutions that enhance workplace productivity, as well as the lives of AtWork! clients. AtWork! also offers clients a range of training and employment opportunities in its own landscaping, recycling and, now, document management services.
